Dear Friday

{Wychmere Harbor}

Dear Friday: Thank you for allowing me to take a breath and catch up with life. I am having the best day with one of my dearest friends.

Dear comfy bed: Thank you for keeping me cozy on this chilly morning. I greatly enjoyed spending some extended time with you today.

Dear outlet malls: I need to learn to stay away from you. However, I can't wait to rock my new sweater skirt and clutch.

Dear weather: I did not prepare well for you this weekend. I needed to bring a jacket with me? Oops..

Dear Ellen: I love that at the end of your show, you always remind us to be kind to each other. Sometimes we are caught up in the trials of the day, and it's easy to forget how we might be impacting others.

Dear new and old friends: Thanks for following my little blog! Your sweet comments have made my week!

It's OK Thursday: Get Me Outta Here

 Thursday = Friday for me!

Amen, Hallelujah, Praise the Lord! I have been waiting for this for two weeks! Let the relaxation begin!

Its Ok Thursdays

Linking up with Amber and Neely today :)

It's OK...

...that you can't remember what day it is. But it's a bonus when you realize it's not Wednesday, it's really Thursday (and remember, Thursday=Friday this week)!

...that your favorite way to fall asleep is listening to the rain.

...to almost shed a tear when your favorite yoga pants get a tear right across the keister. It's also OK to spend a good 30 minutes trying to think of ways to save them before you realize it's a lost cause.

...to be sick and tired of political ads on TV. Running the same ad twice during every commercial break does not a happy viewer make. Especially when you don't care for either candidate.

...to decide you don't really need to take your makeup off at night and wake up looking like a raccoon.

...to feel that it's completely necessary to wear a scarf with every outfit - it is fall after all.

...that instead of doing your hair and picking out something to wear in the morning, you feel it's vital to check every form of social media/news you have on your phone. This never results in last minute panic and frizzy hair (<-- lies).

Happy Thursday! :)

Gone to the Wolves

While on our western adventure, Mom and I had the pleasure of spending a night at a B&B in between Bozeman and Livingston, Montana called the Howlers Inn.

Interesting name, you think? Well, this is not your typical bed and breakfast. Howlers Inn also serves as a wolf sanctuary that has two resident wolf packs on site. The innkeepers take in wolves that have been abandoned, orphaned or otherwise would not be able to survive in the wild. It was so interesting to see the dynamics of the packs - the Alpha male kept a close eye on me when I ventured near the enclosure. He was also the one to come the closest and kept his yellow eyes on me constantly.

This was the first time I'd been to a B&B, and I enjoyed every second of it! The innkeepers made you feel like a part of their family and made the most delicious breakfast! It was a great alternative to staying in the normal hotel Mom and I would have booked. It also boasted the most incredible view of the mountains and valleys! If you ever venture out to Yellowstone, this place is a great find!

Have you ever stayed at a unique B&B? I'd love to hear any recommendations!

Chatham

I find myself dreaming of the Cape lately. It's been a few weeks since I've been down there, and I am anxious to enjoy the last days of summer and early days of fall. After Labor Day, the Cape completely clears out - traffic that binds up the roads for hours on summer weekends is non-existant, fried seafood restaurants don't have an hour wait, and the beaches are blissfully peaceful.

Chatham is the ultimate Cape Cod stereotype. Super preppy, beachfront mansions, the whole nine-yards. It's a town full of old-time charm, and I love it. I have spent many a day wandering the streets and beaches.

I think my favorite part of Chatham is the lighthouse. My great aunt Betty, who was like a grandmother to me, lived in Chatham when I was growing up. Every year we would go visit her while at the Cape, and my Mommy and Daddy would take my brother and I to see Chatham Light at night time. I was always in awe of the beautiful old house and tower that, so many times, has almost been a sacrifice to the hurricanes. It always amazed me that this one light was guiding ships from far away places to safe harbor. My little girl self would anxiously await our night-time trip to this favorite spot.

Thursday night, you can't come soon enough!

If you're stopping by from

thanks for visiting! :)

Friday's Letters

Dear friends: I miss you more than words can express.

Dear mornings: Thanks for being refreshingly crisp and autumnal this week. Keep it up.

Dear Barry Manilow: I can't wait to sing along with you tonight. I also might be the youngest person in the crowd, but that's OK. I'm a grandma at heart.

Dear self: You really need to work on hitting the snooze button once or twice instead of six times in the morning.

Dear burrito I had for dinner last night: you really hit the spot. I wish I could eat you every night without gaining 3948894 lbs.

Dear Pepper: You are the best little pup in the world. Snuggling with you is my favorite.

Have a beautiful weekend!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

I am SO off with my days this week. Does it feel like it should be the weekend to anyone else? On the other hand, I feel like it's only Monday because of all the things I need to do! Oh well - linking up with Amber and Neely today :)

It's OK...

...to be in love with Mr. Darcy.

...to pack a bag of work clothes/toiletries to keep in your office in the {likely} chance you could be working for most of the night. That's why they have a full locker room, right? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the gym next to it.

...to miss college and wish those years could have lasted forever.

...to stop at Dairy Queen on your way home from work to get a {mini}Blizzard for dinner.

...to stay up hours after your bedtime looking at fonts for your new blog design {coming soon!!!}

...to resent the 80 degree high today. Fall, I want to wear my sweaters, jackets and scarves!

Have a wonderful day!

The Wild West

A few weeks ago Last month, Mamasita and I packed our little bags and headed to Montana for an adventure. It was my first time to the Northwest, and I could not have been more impressed with its beauty! We began our trip in Missoula, Montana to visit my uncle. What an adorable college town! Home to the University of Montana, Missoula has an eclectic vibe with all the charm of a small town. We spent hours walking around downtown and exploring the positively lovely shops and sampling the local cuisine. Mom and I were blown away by the blueberry lemonade and tomato lime soup at The Catalyst.

Bonus: it was light out till almost 10 at night!!! I could have gotten very used to that - it made the day seem so much longer!

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! :)
