Friday's Letters

Dear friends: I miss you more than words can express.

Dear mornings: Thanks for being refreshingly crisp and autumnal this week. Keep it up.

Dear Barry Manilow: I can't wait to sing along with you tonight. I also might be the youngest person in the crowd, but that's OK. I'm a grandma at heart.

Dear self: You really need to work on hitting the snooze button once or twice instead of six times in the morning.

Dear burrito I had for dinner last night: you really hit the spot. I wish I could eat you every night without gaining 3948894 lbs.

Dear Pepper: You are the best little pup in the world. Snuggling with you is my favorite.

Have a beautiful weekend!

It's OK Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

I am SO off with my days this week. Does it feel like it should be the weekend to anyone else? On the other hand, I feel like it's only Monday because of all the things I need to do! Oh well - linking up with Amber and Neely today :)

It's OK...

...to be in love with Mr. Darcy.

...to pack a bag of work clothes/toiletries to keep in your office in the {likely} chance you could be working for most of the night. That's why they have a full locker room, right? I'm sure it has nothing to do with the gym next to it.

...to miss college and wish those years could have lasted forever.

...to stop at Dairy Queen on your way home from work to get a {mini}Blizzard for dinner.

...to stay up hours after your bedtime looking at fonts for your new blog design {coming soon!!!}

...to resent the 80 degree high today. Fall, I want to wear my sweaters, jackets and scarves!

Have a wonderful day!

The Wild West

A few weeks ago Last month, Mamasita and I packed our little bags and headed to Montana for an adventure. It was my first time to the Northwest, and I could not have been more impressed with its beauty! We began our trip in Missoula, Montana to visit my uncle. What an adorable college town! Home to the University of Montana, Missoula has an eclectic vibe with all the charm of a small town. We spent hours walking around downtown and exploring the positively lovely shops and sampling the local cuisine. Mom and I were blown away by the blueberry lemonade and tomato lime soup at The Catalyst.

Bonus: it was light out till almost 10 at night!!! I could have gotten very used to that - it made the day seem so much longer!

I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! :)

Friday's Letters: Hello World Edition

(Boston Harbor Walk a few weeks ago)

Dear Friday: I am thoroughly enjoying your sunshine.

Dear world: You might have thought I'd gone missing. Nope, in fact I've been thriving in my office all hours of the day. Don't worry about me, I'm doing quite well, loving my job. I promise to make an appearance more often.

Dear parents: Thank you for being so incredibly supportive and proud of me. And for doing my laundry.

Dear pomegranate iced tea and yummy hummus sandwich: You are the bestest, tastiest lunch in the world.

Dear My Fitness Pal: Thank you for making me aware of all the garbage I snack on throughout the day. Two weeks and 5 lbs lighter, and I love you more and more each day.

Dear beach: I will miss you this weekend.

Dear followers: Thanks for hanging in there with me. Love you all lots and lots.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Thanks, Ashley for hosting the linkup! :)

Cape Cod: Brewster

Continuing my photo obsession/love for the Cape, here are some of my favorite spots in the picturesque town of Brewster.

If you are looking for quintessential Cape Cod charm, Brewster is the place to go. Full of gorgeous old homes, bayside beaches and an adorable country store, Brewster is an ideal retreat in the off-season (of course peak season too)! Bonus: all this beauty is just a few miles from my house, so I frequent their sandy shores as often as I can.

Wandering Yarmouth

Another week has begun!

I think I have embodied a 90 year old lady because I find myself going to bed at 8:30 and saying things like "where has the time gone?!" constantly. Pretty soon I'll have 13 puppies in my house and they will call me the crazy dog lady.

I digress...

After a few weeks of snapping pictures with my new camera, trying to figure out the settings and experimenting with light and angles, I have my first round of photos to share! I still have a long way to go in learning the ins and outs of photography, but practice makes perfect, right?

I've spend the last few weekends at my beloved Cape Cod, relaxing with my parents and soaking up the salty air and sand. I think all stresses in life can be cured by some sea air, sunshine, and a good book. I come back to reality energized after every visit!

These photos were taken in Yarmouth and Hyannis a few weeks ago while wandering along scenic 6A searching for estate sales with my Mommy. Nothing better than searching for antiques and getting lost on little back roads, only to stumble on a beautiful boardwalk over the marshes.

Escape to the Cape

An unexpected surprise after a long week of work - getting the weekend off to enjoy some R&R at the Cape.

You can find me here:

A beach chair, bathing suit and nap are in my immediate future.

On a side note, you may (or may not) have been wondering where I've been. Well, I have been writing/planning/researching up a storm to transform this little space of mine. I'm excited with what I've brainstormed, so moving forward, you might notice little changes here and there.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
