Adjustment

Oh my...weeks seem to fly by me.

The last two weeks have been pretty spectacular though. A new career, weekends off, early mornings where I'm excited to get out of bed, and a routine. All things that I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying in the last year and a half. They might sound small or even boring, but trust me, friends, these little things are not to be taken for granted.

Many would call these changes a big adjustment in my life. However, I tend to think that the word adjustment has a negative connotation. If anything, this new life I've had over the last two weeks has been the most natural transition I've ever made. To be beginning the life that you've been imagining for the last six-ish years is something not many people get to do.

So many people in this generation feel stuck with what they have due to the crappy economy and lack of jobs. It's tough out there, kids. But you pay your dues, smile through the hard times, and know that down the road, there will be something perfect for you.

Enough of my little inspirational message.

I'll be back to my regularly scheduled blogging tomorrow. Now that I have this routine thing down and I'm not working 12+ hours a day, I hope to have lots more time to devote to my beloved little blog. Thanks for sticking with me through thick and thin, bloggy friends. You're the best.

It's OK Thursday #6

How is it Thursday already?! This week has flown by, and it's my last week off before I officially start my new job! I couldn't be more excited to begin an actual career doing something I've dreamed about for the last six years!

Today, I'm linking up with Amber and Neely for It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

...to have all your outfits for your first week of work picked out, steamed and ready just like you did when you were in elementary school. The excited little girl inside of you will never grow up :)

...to still be wearing orange because OSU won the Fiesta Bowl on Monday. Nothing wrong with some excessive school pride.

...to shed a tear because your car got its first "ding" in it over the weekend. And to be so OCD about it, that your willing to overpay the dealer to get the dime size dent pulled out.

...To drink your hot chocolate with a spoon and make sure there is exactly one marshmallow in every spoonful (this requires you to keep the marshmallow bag close by for constant refills).

...That even though New Year's and Christmas are over, you still find ways to wear all your sparkly and glittery clothes, because let's face it, every girl needs some sparkle in her life.

...to be worried that you're going to feel sleep deprived at work next week because you've been sleeping for 12 hours every night for the last two weeks.
